Priest and Warrior: Key Forever Changes
Blizzard’s September 30 class preview expands Priest baseline tools and revises Warrior Rage and stance handling. These are beta announcements, not final tuning.

What Blizzard confirmed
- All Priests gain Fear Ward and Devouring Plague at level 20, Divine Spirit at 30, and Shadow Word: Death at 32.
- Prayer of Healing targets the selected player’s party and pets, rather than only the Priest’s own party.
- Warrior Rage from incoming damage ignores armor and absorption; outgoing Rage uses weapon speed, with critical hits announced to grant 75% more.
- Baseline Tactical Mastery at level 14 retains 10 Rage across stance changes. Victory Rush arrives at level 20.
- Talents begin at level 10, with a new 16-point milestone alongside familiar milestones. Dual Specialization unlocks at level 40.
Why this matters for players
Classic assumptions about race-locked Priest tools and shield-related Warrior Rage no longer describe this announced baseline. Check the full class preview before choosing a build; Blizzard explicitly warns that abilities and talents may change during beta.
